Steve Rand has been a full-time artist for the last 20 years after leaving a successful career in the technology industry. He has been recognized for his wide range of mediums and styles. His drawings and paintings have been displayed and sold throughout the west coast and Baja, California.

He's always had an interest in the work of prominent artists, from the renaissance to the contemporary. Five years ago, he started drawing artists surrounded by examples of the artists’ work. He found that what started as a simple drawing exercise gave him a unique perspective that reaches well beyond reading about their lives. This is how the ‘Artist Tribute Series’ began. Today there are over 70 artists in the series.  Check out the ‘Series’, you just might find your own favorite artists.

Steve works out of his two studios. One in Oxnard, CA and the other in Loreto, Baja Sur, Mexico. He is married, has two grown sons, and four grandchildren.
